He is working with Prof. David Singer of the NAME department. His research interests revolve around the early stage design of Naval vessels and analyzing design optimization tools through the use of statistical physics, metaphysics, and logic theory.
Matthew Dowling
Undergraduate Researcher
Computer Science and Engineering
Matthew is a Junior in computer science on track to get a B.S.E. in computer science by 2026, along with a Mathematics minor. Apart from the computer science and ship design work he has done for the lab, he has spent 3 internships with Michigan Tech Research Institute working on statistical decision and estimation problems and their implementations in Matlab. He wants to ultimately get into the cybersecurity space and get a Ph.D. either in math or computer science that focuses on cryptography.
